New Music: Milwaukee Banks x Rat & Co x Andrei Eremin + Shows with Raury

Saturday, December 6, 2014

Fresh from their addition to the Laneway 2015 lineup, Milwaukee Banks has just dropped two new tracks with Rat & Co and Andrei Eremin. The release of these tracks follows the success of their debut EP Rose Water as well as Rose Water remixes.

The duo who hail from Melbourne has been praised for their fresh take on hip hop, including conscious and intelligent word play, and the dreamy unison of glitchy electronic beats and smooth vocal flow.

The first track from the EP, 'Monitor' features Melbourne experimental quartet Rat & Co. The production is gritty and dirty, but also lively and energetic. It's the type of track we can imagine some of the greatest international MCs rapping on. The flows from Dyl Thomas are equally as world class.

The second track, 'Van Gogh', is much different from the previous track. This one features the very talented Andrei Eremin. We recently featured another Andrei Eremin track,  'Halloumi' by Wayfarer// on the site. He has worked with the likes of Chet Faker, Oscar Key Sung, and Banoffee. 'Van Gogh' is smooth and the perfect track for a summers day. The flow remains consistent and works in unison with the the tracks production to create a vibe that is dreamlike.

Milwaukee Banks will be playing a series of shows in the lead up to their appearance at Golden Plains and Laneway. They will be appearing with the ever so talented Raury on two of the dates. Raury has been creating waves everywhere for his flawless talent. Not only is he all over SBTRKT's latest release, he's also played his stuff exclusively for Kanye. He's one to watch!

If you enjoy the sounds of Rat & Co, they will be appearing at Sugar Mountain in Melbourne next year. For details and ticket info, click here.
