The Smashing Pumpkins Stream 'Monuments To An Elegy' In Full

Saturday, December 6, 2014

The Smashing Pumpkins and iTunes Radio have come together to give fans the chance to stream their upcoming ninth LP, Monuments To An Elegy, before it's official release date. A version of the nine track LP has been specifically mastered for iTunes by Howie Weinberg.

In the lead up to the albums release, the band have been busy on a mini-tour around the US and Europe. Unsurprisingly, tickets to the tour sold out. Joining The Smashing Pumpkins on tour has been Mark Stoermer (The Killers) on bass and Brad Wilk (Rage Against The Machine) on drums.

Reviews of Monuments To An Elegy are already streaming in with SPIN declaring the nine album tracks "…sound like they could nestle in among the band's glory days." Consequence of Sound suggested that Billy Corgan is "…in a clearing, creatively speaking, and the nine tracks speak to that kind of mental release."
