Noel Gallagher Thinks It's Time Liam Makes A Solo Album

Monday, January 5, 2015

In an interview with Q, Noel Gallagher has said that he thinks that his younger brother Liam should “put his balls on the line” and make a solo album.

Everybody was shocked when Beady Eye called it quits late last year. The band consisting of former Oasis members Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and Chris Sharrock enjoyed mild success from the release of LPs, Different Gear, Still Speeding and BE. Whether the fact the band never received the same attention and hype as Oasis contributed to their break up is unknown.

Despite the well known fued between the Gallagher brothers, Noel has admitted that he fully supported Beady Eye, he said “I’m very fucking sad about Beady Eye, because I know they really wanted to make it work. I wanted it to work for them. I was out with Gem Archer the other night. The vibe I’m getting is that it was a shock, although not completely surprising."

When asked what Liam should to next, he said “I’m amazed Liam has chucked it in, but he won’t stay out of the limelight for long. I think Liam should make a solo record – put his balls on the line, put his name up in lights and go for it.”

Noel Gallagher is due to released his second solo LP Chasing Yesterday on March 2nd.
