Fresh from his performance at Beyond The Valley Festival over New Year Eve, African born Melbourne MC Nico Ghost, has dropped his debut single 'Coolin'. The track was produced by friend and producer GXNXVS. You might be familiar with GXNXVS's stuff through his collaborations with Vanessa Elisha and CVIRO.

The instrumental from 'Coolin' sounds like something from a Clams Casino produced track. The overall ambiance is dreamy and almost hazy. Nico Ghost's flow eases over the tranquil beat effortsly. His lyrics and word play also show his confidence - this is evident when he mentions things like 'he's about to make a quarter of a mill for no reason'. For a debut track, it's impressive and if this is taste of what further Nico Ghost and GXNXVS collaborations are going to sound like, then i'm intrigued.

You can catch Nico Ghost during his shows as support for Melbourne favourite Ivan Ooze on January 30th at Shebeen in Melbourne. You can also catch him at Laundry Bar every Friday in Feburary with his Ghost Family from 9pm to 11pm.
