If there is one thing I’m certain of, it’s that no-one can throw a party like Rolling Stone Magazine.
An event which provides guests with free haircuts courtesy of Uppercut, Booze from Patron, Two Italian Boys, Pistonhead, and Hillbilly Cider, as well as onsite visual artist, you know it’s going to be a killer event.
In the awards 6th year, an incredible and talented bunch swarmed Byron Kennedy Hall at Fox Studios, including Tkay Maidza, Harts, The Delta Riggs, Client Liaison, Montaigne, Remi, The Griswolds, Gang Of Youths, Ecca Vandal, The Bennies, Lindy Morrison, Steve Smyth, Peking Duck, and Kasey Chambers.
There were many highlights from the night - whether it was Steve Smyth smashing his guitar at the conclusion of his performance, Tkay Maidza thanking her cat after winning the Best New Talent award, or Remi casually having a smoke break during the exact moment he won the Best Independent Release award and was due to make his speech.
Performances included an electric set from Ecca Vandal and well as a passionate performance by Steve Smyth. Linda Morrison also took out the much deserved Rolling Stone Award.
Organisers did a fabulous job in turning the event more into a celebration as opposed to your standard award show. Guests were treated to an array of the finest food and drinks around and the night provided the perfect opportunity to mingle and reconnect with one another.
