We have a chat to the very cool, eccentric ladies from Hinds (formerly Deers) on their exciting debut tour in Australia. Founding members, Garcia Perrote and Carlotta Cosials, joined by bandmates Ade Martin and Amber Grimbergen present music that is based upon young lust and teenage mischief providing a sound that is rockin', fuzzy and jammin' fun. They have also released a recent track titled 'Bamboo' whcih you can watch below. The girls will be in Australia from the 18th of Feb - the 22nd of Feb. What can crowds expect from your live shows?
We have no idea!! Don't ask me why, but we seriously think they are going to be like crazy gigs!! But you never know, right :)?
It’s your debut tour in Australia, what are you most excited to see and do while on tour?
Okay. You can't imagine HOW MUCH WE CANT STAND THE COLD. We have had the longest winter of our lives because of touring in Europe.. So we are happy with little, we are simple, we just want to see the most precious sun of our lives.
You guys have worked with The Vaccines, have opened for wicked acts like The Libertines and Black Lips, what was those experience’s like?
The Black Lips one is the one that really made us freak out. They are our heroes. They actually ARE heroes. That night was like a fairy tail hahaha from the begginig to the end.
Have they made you grow as a band?
Yes! sure! The Libertines night was more like as people than as the band. But the one with the black lips really worked out! A lot of people started to follow us because of that night!
If you could sum up Hinds style in 3 words what would they be?
Beers, deers and cigarettes!
Who would be your dream artist/s to collaborate with?
White fence!
Are you currently working on anything at the moment you would like to share with us?
On an amazing album that we will share with you as soon as possible :)
