MUMFORD & SONS share New Single – ‘Believe’ - listen/watch

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

Mumford & Sons have shared a glimpse of what is expected to come from their third album 'Wilder Mind'.

The first single 'Believe' is not what you would generally expect from Mumford & Sons, it's puzzling at first first, but gets intriguing after many listens.

'Believe' presents a calmer vibe than what you would generally expect, it might not have a banjo twang present, but there is a visible substitute - an electric guitar. With an emotionally electrifying build up with the use of guitar riffs and a gradual heart beat of drum pounds to give the song life, the tune shows a fascinating new path they have taken.

Wilder Mind was recorded at Air Studios, London and produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, HAIM, Florence & The Machine). It features twelve new tracks, written collaboratively by the band in London, Brooklyn, and Texas. A number of the new songs were written and demo'd at Aaron Dessner’s (The National) garage studios in Brooklyn.

It will be interesting to hear what their new album 'Wilder Mind'  will included, our guess is that the banjo will be back, it's just gotta be, right? - It's Mumford & Sons, but who knows? Maybe it has gone for good and we are seeing a new side to them, only time will tell.

‘Believe’ is released on the 27th April, and precedes the band’s third album, released on 4th May through Gentlemen of the Road/Island Records.
