The Trap Lord, otherwise known as A$AP Ferg set the place on fire - metaphorically of course - as part of his sideshow for Groovin The Moo 2015.

Opening the night was US producer Paper Diamond. He played an array of trap and grime infused remixes that provided the perfect opportunity for fans to get ready, sweaty and energised for Ferg.

The one thing I found surprising was the diversity of his set. Despite only having one LP to his name (Trap Lord released in 2013) his set contained a mix bag of tracks, This included his remix of Future's 'Move That Dope' titled 'Dope Lord'. Another surprise included 'Hella Hoes', a collab song between various A$AP Mob members. Ferg also featured tracks from his mixtape Ferg Forever such as 'JA Rule' and 'Fergsomnia'. He also played a number of songs from his debut album including 'Shabba', 'Let It Go' and 'Murda Something'.

The highlight of his set was 'Work' and then the remix of the same track. The moment Ferg's DJ dropped the track, everybody inside the venue was on their feet jumping. After playing the original version, he played the remix - equally killin' it. It was difficult to spot a fan who wasn't in their element rapping along with Ferg or either using their energy to turn the venue into one single moshpit - or both.

Ferg showed his true talent when he want acapella on some of his verses. I can imagine how much pressure it would be to spit verses without a supporting beat - but he took it in his stride and showed his ferocity with just a mic and a light.

He also made a fitting tribute to A$AP Mob founder, A$AP Yams, who tragically overdosed earlier this year. Ferg also commented on the fact that we have short lives and that we could lose our lives at any moment. His words showed the amount of love he had for Yams and how much his death affected him.

Overall Ferg proved that he's one of the best touring rap acts on the scene right now. His energy was electrifying and he had everyone in the crowd hooked from the moment he walked onto the stage. If you're heading to Groovin The Moo, then you would be crazy to miss his set - A$AP Ferg presents a high quality show that will have you addicted, craving more.
