Feature: 5 Local Tracks You Need To Jam This Week

Wednesday, May 27, 2015

We've searched the web far and wide to find 5 tunes from local artists creating magical sounds. Check out our discoveries below.

ESESE - 'GMBMM' (ft. Hancoq And Hudson James Jr)

ESESE (aka Eastern Seaboard Electric Soul Experience) return after the hype from 'AINTNO'. Like their previous release, 'GMBMM' is a solid release. The hip-hop collective from Melbourne are fast proving to be ones to look out for. Watch this space.

The Vultures - 'Walkholme City'

I discovered this one after raiding through triple j Unearthed. From the Gold Coast, the lads from The Vultures have presented not only a catchy rock tune, but one I can see receiving frequent radio play - I look forward to seeing what they do next,

KIT - 'Goodbye'

Originally from Bega, KIT has been receiving attention from everywhere. Her latest track 'Goodbye' showcases her powerful and soulful vocals. With material that is flowing with emotions and passion, she is a rare kind in this industry.

Oakland - 'Into The Sea'

Discovering this gem has been one of my favourite finds from the month. Oakland are an indie-rock band from Perth. Apparently 'Into The Sea' is their debut single, which I am finding hard to believe. Their sound is refined and if this is their debut it's scary to think what the rest of their work is going to sound like. Oakland are destined for big things!

Mia Milan - 'I Won't Cry'

Australian pop has been lacking for a while, but now we have Mia Milan so all is okay. 'I Won't Cry' is a fun track that is sure to brighten up your Thursday - that I can guarantee.
