Friday Playlist: The Weeknd

Mr. Abel Tesfaye (you might also know him as The Weeknd) set the net on fire this week when he released the trailer to his new album. Today, we dedicate our Friday playlist to everyones favourite Canadian.

The Hills -
Only released last month, The Hills sees him experimenting with dark grimey trap beats. The track was originally called 'Mood Music' and if this is a hint of what we can expect from his new album, then i'm excited.

Often -
Arguably once of his most seductive tracks (big statement, most of his stuff is sensual), let's face it, it isn't a Weeknd song unless he gets sexual.

Drinks On Us - (ft. Swae Lee, Future, produced by Mike.Will.Made.It)
I'm going to be honest, this was a late discovery for me. Released early this year, the track sees him collaborate with Swae Lee (from Rae Sremmurd - one of my guilty pleasures) as well as Future. I never thought I would see the day The Weeknd would appear on a track produced by Mike.Will.Made.It., but that day has arrived.

Or Nah remix - Ty Dolla $ign and Wiz Khalifa
Probably his most dirtiest verse ever.

Outside -
'Outside' was my personal standout track from his 2011 mixtape Echoes Of Silence. The hauntingly beautiful nature of the track still gives me goosebumps all these years later.

Drunk In Love -
Forget Beyonce. This is what Drunk In Love is all about

Wicked Games -

A pure Weeknd classic.
