BANFF (aka Benjamin Forbes) has revealed a new single from his forthcoming EP 'Future Self' - set for release on June 19. 'All Again' features rattling lo-fi drums pumping a thumping energy throughout the track. The vibrant drums compete with the sounds of a melodic piano and his mellow and peaceful vocals.
BANFF is renowned for creating ethereal layers in his music and his unique take on soul-drenched indie-pop (as evident in 'All Again'). He used to be the frontman of Brisbane group Little Casino, but decided to step away as he wanted explore his own craft. The decision has paid off due to the success of such singles as 'Stand In Line' and 'The Great Unknown'.
When discussing his upcoming EP, Forbes says that the creation of the release came at a 'reflective time' in his life where he contemplated decisions he has made in the past. "It was an overwhelming and vulnerable period into adulthood, but one that has taught me a lot as far as music, and life in general goes. While none of the tracks directly talk about that very notion, I felt the title captured that moment I began writing for BANFF.”
He is due to support Japanese Wallpaper on July 2nd in Brisbane. He will also embark on his own tour starting July 11 which will include stops in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Tickets are available now, scroll down for dates and info.
