Last Dinosaurs have unveiled their music video for latest single 'Apollo' from their highly anticipated second album Wellness - due for release August 28.
The video for 'Apollo' features a lonesome security guard who bursts into dance moves to pass the time whilst waiting for his graveyard shift to come to an end. Set inside a Brisbane shopping centre, Bass player Michael Sloane (who also directed video) said in a statement, "The concept came from the band wanting to portray the message of the song's lyrics, ideas of leading a double life, wanting something more, and transitioning from ordinary to extraordinary. Even though the lyrics are serious, the upbeat music called for something fun on screen. I really have our dancer/actor Sheru Bharadwaja to thank for bringing groove, humour, and sincerity to his role as the security guard with a secret."
Along with the release of the album, Last Dinosaurs will be hitting the road playing a number of big venues in various cities around the country. Along with their previous sold-out national tour earlier in the year, they also appeared on the Amphitheatre at Splendour In The Grass in July. Their upcoming tour will feature shows for all ages and shows for underage fans - which also coincide with the September school holidays.
