FEATURE: We Play 'What Song...' With Sea Legs

Tuesday, February 2, 2016

In the lead up to Mountain Sounds Festival, the lads from Sea Legs - who are set to appear at the festival - took part in our latest edition of 'What Song..'. Tickets to Mountain Sounds are still available! For more deets, scroll down below!

What song reminds you of your youth?
Blink 182 - 'Apple Shampoo'. Well basically any track from Dude Ranch. It takes me right back to making out for the first time, discovering nice things, skating on the weekends, peroxided hair, and playing in a punk covers band.

What song is your ultimate party track?
Electric 6 - 'Danger! High Voltage'. This track was on repeat when we were in Barcelona a few years ago. I can't even pretend to party without hearing this tune, it reminds me of the weirdest nights of my life spent with my best mates.

What song do you listen to before you jump on stage?
The Presidents of the United States of America - 'Kitty'. We don't religiously listen to this tune before every show, but if we can we will and when we do it somehow makes the show just that much better.

What song would you make your theme song?
The Smiths - 'How Soon Is Now'. I don't even really know how this song relates to my life apart from the fact I have loved this song for over 2 decades, have never grown sick of it. If this is the song that plays every time I step out the front door of a morning, I wouldn't complain.

What song reminds you of your first heartbreak?
Bright Eyes - 'We Are Nowhere And It's Now'. This song for me is awesomely depressing. It arrived just in time for the end of what I considered 'my first serious relationship'. Had it on repeat for months straight, just drinking Woodstock long necks and feeling way too sorry for myself.

What do you have on repeat right now?
The Paper Kites - 'Electric Indigo'. Absolutely loving this whole album, it is so fresh. Can't stop listening.

What song is your guilty pleasure?
Justin Bieber - 'Where Are U Now'. C'mon you guys, you can't deny this track is friggen sick! When that dub section drops.. It makes you a belieber.

Sea Legs are playing at Mountain Sounds Festival, Mt Penang Parklands Central Coast NSW on 20th February with Albert Hammond Jr., Alpine, Art Vs Science, Violent Soho and more! Tickets on sale now mountainsoundsfestival.com.au
