NEW MUSIC: Fieu — Impossible

Wednesday, May 25, 2016

Fieu is the alias of Queensland alt-pop artist, Emily Brewis. Her new single, 'Impossible', was co-written with Eskimo Joe's Joel Quartermain and is an impressive showcase of her diverse vocal range. This is powerful, synth-based pop at its finest and looks set to propel Fieu to the next level within Australian music.

There are some beautiful vocal harmonies taking place on 'Impossible', backed by some detailed instrumentation grooving away beneath.  It's the kind of song that either makes you stop to admire the singer's voice or get lost dancing away to what is an undoubtedly funky track. 'Impossible' features one of the catchiest hooks I've heard in ages, making it a song that will still be jamming in your ears long after hearing it — with a voice as talented as Fieu's, that's a great thing!

'Impossible' is the first in some of releases Fieu has in store for 2016 and if this is anything to go by, the future looks very bright indeed! If you dig Ellie Goulding or Florence and the Machine, then you’ll love this.
