Seavera, featuring Tori Zietsch and Daniel Pinkerton, have unveiled their intriguing new single 'Parallel and Repeat'. After spending time on solo endeavours, the duo re-connected in Melbourne earlier this year.
'Parallel and Repeat' features almost lo-fi percussion that also contains a hauntingly beautiful quality. The song came to fruition after reading an essay by George Orwell that was about speaking with intention. Before I read their comments on the song, I pictured an eerie cathedral in the middle of nowhere as a perfect location to listen to it. In a statement they say, "We envisioned the song creeping inside the walls of an old cathedral and tried to imagine what it would feel like if it were overtaken by the elements of the earth."
'Parallel And Repeat' is set to appear on Seavera's upcoming EP, which is set to be released in early 2017.
