'Return To Sender' is the very first track to be released by Melbourne's Yollks. The 21-year-old grew up in Phillip Island and learned how to play the guitar from a young age. Though she went through a crossroads period where she wasn't sure of what to do with her music, the time allowed her to perfect her craft and find the direction she wants to head in — we think that she is definitely on the right path now.
As I mentioned earlier, 'Return To Sender' is her first ever single — I can't think of many other artists who can say their first ever release is as good as this one. The touching track unveils an emotional and nostalgic story about letting go. The heaviness of the percussion in the chorus and broody production throughout marries up to the depth of her lyrics beautifully.
To celebrate the release of her debut single, Yollks will be supporting Kalacoma at their show at The Workers Club on November 15. She will also be appearing at Semplesize's action-packed end of year celebration at the Gasometer on December 18.
