Feature: Keven 007 from Glitoris Plays 'What Song...'

Monday, November 21, 2016

The ever so fabulous Glitoris are about to embark on an east-coast tour to celebrate the release of their EP The Disgrace. Before bringing their passionate punk-rock to a town near you, Keven 007 took some time out to take part in our latest edition of 'What Song...'

What song reminds you of your youth?
'Blister in the Sun' - Violent Femmes. Being high, having a perv, having a wank, emotional instability… these are quintessential rights of teen living.

What song is your ultimate party track?
Scissor Sisters - 'Take Your Mama Out'. It's the falsetto.

What song do you listen to before you jump on stage?
We don't listen to songs before we go onstage because we're usually warming up with vocal harmonies. But at the last gig, Malcolm and Andrew sang a very enthusiastic version of Talking Heads' 'Psycho Killer' before we went on stage.

What song would you make your theme song?
We've already got one. It's called 'Theme From Glitoris'. It may or may not be about cunnilingus.

What song reminds you of your first heartbreak?
'Please Break Me Gently' - Tex Perkins. It's perfect - a soothing lullaby mixed with raw honest understanding of heartache.

What do you have on repeat right now?
A Moon Shaped Pool - Radiohead. It makes running feel like flying.

What song is your guilty pleasure?
'Monster' - Kanye. Nicki Minaj's verse trumps pretty much everything.
