Feature: We Play 'What Song...' With Andrew Kuo From Yon Yonson

With their new album Yes No Sorry set to drop on February 4th next year, and the release of a new material recently (including Simo Soo's 'Berlin Remix), Yon Yonson have been working up a storm. Andrew Kuo from the band recently took some time out to feature in our latest edition of 'What Song...'

What song reminds you of your high school days?
'Sleep' by Lagwagon takes me back. At 14 or 15 I was big into all those pop-punk bands like NOFX and Frenzal Rhomb etc... Also I was big into sleeping.

What song would you love to cover during a live show?
Rick has this weird savant-like knowledge of obnoxious guitar rock songs. During our live sets he will often just start shredding some 'Sweet Child of Mine' or Wolfmother between our songs. I know for a fact he would LOVE to do a full-blown cover of 'Smooth' by Carlos Santana and Rob Thomas

What song brings out your finest dance moves?
'I Feel Love' by Donna Summer. That should be everyone's answer to this question...

What song would you make your theme song?
The band already has a theme song actually.

My personal theme song is 'TNT' by ACDC because I bloody genuinely am dynamite orite.

What song do you wish you collaborated on?
I would love to have a verse on a posse cut. 'The 56k' remix (feat. a million people) by Hot Sugar is one of my favs of the last few years. Get me on that please

What song is your guilty pleasure?
I don't feel guilty about this at all but 'I Want You Back' by Take That is unreal. I fucking slay it at karaoke too fyi
