Essential Listening: The Amazons

The Amazons have had a massive 2017. They released their self-titled debut album this year and have toured across the globe and have dominated many festivals like Isle of Wight, Glastonbury, Neighbourhood Festival, Gibraltar Festival, as well as Reading & Leeds. Let's hope that they head Downunder sometime in the near future.

If they do happen to decide to come to Australia, we've prepped up our five best tracks from them. And yes, they're about to be your new fave band. There have been no murmurs of any appearances yet, but you can thank me later at their live show.

'Junk Food Forever':
If you're after a sing-a-long, this one is for you. This track is the perfect live track. It's also extremely relatable, especially for those of us that are stuck in our daily grind mode. Also, how about that music video?

'Ultraviolet':
Lyrically, this song is beautiful and it's just as stunning when performed acoustically

'Stay With Me':
Dealing with the theme of relationships, this track is also very catchy and would sound incredible live — I can already picture a room full of feels and everyone hugging their m8s.

'Palace':
This one is their latest single, and they also dropped the music video recently (which was created by Matt Goff). Overall, it's a captivating number that's hard not to love.

'In My Mind':
This is my fave track by them. It's rhythmic and the electrifying attitude makes for the ultimate banger.
