Recently, we asked Perth's Chiseko to share some of his fave tunes with us in our latest edition of 'What Song...' You might have stumbled across Chiseko from his singles 'Juice' and 'Westside Story'. Learn more about him below:

What song reminds you of your youth?
'Survival Tactics' By Joey Bada$$ and Capital Steez. The whole Pro Era crew played a huge role in shaping how I view the world today by openly exposing some of the inequalities that exist within society and by opening my mind to spirituality. This song, in particular, was a massive f**k you to corrupt politicians and people abusing positions of power during a time where the hip-hop industry seemed like it was lacking a conscious collective.

What song would you love to sample?
'Strings of light' by Yussef Kamaal. It’s a brilliant jazz piece with trippy progressive synth’s that I imagine would sound great layered on top of some hip-hop drums.

What song did you last listen to?
'Despite The Weather' by Kaytranada.

What song do you wish you collaborated on?
One of my dreams has always been to work with Kaytranada, I’ve always thought that stylistically our sounds would work together. If I ever had the chance, 'Despite the Weather' would definitely be the track I’d choose to collaborate with him on.

What song is your ultimate party track?
'Señorita' By Pharrell Williams and Justin Timberlake. Good times. Every time.

What song was your favourite track of last year?
'Navajo' by Masego, so much soul from a hugely talented musician. This track perfectly blends hip-hop with R&B and sounds good any time of the day.
