Now Playing: Jarrow – 'Kelp'

Friday, March 2, 2018

Jarrow has wasted no time since his 2016 debut album 2003 Dream. The album caught Australia’s attention, leading Jarrow to play at festivals such as Boogie and Splendour in the Grass in 2017. This is no surprise, considering Jarrow’s lyrical charm and wit, prominent melodies and drive.

The second single from his upcoming album Expensive Hugs, is no exception. ‘Kelp’ starts with minimal guitar accommodating Jarrow’s usual charismatic and story-like lyrics: “lock all your friends in the same rubbish bin and I will take it out for you.” The track follows through with dreamy chorus guitars and energy.

The track’s elements of indie pop-rock and intelligent lyrics are a refreshing listen in 2018.

Expensive Hugs is due to be released 18th March through Barely Dressed Records. You can catch Jarrow tomorrow at Off Tap Fest in Abbotsford, more details are available here.
