We may have stumbled across Silk Cinema's 'Golden' after a few random clicks on Soundcloud, but we're so damn happy that this gem of a track is now in our life — and more importantly, we're incredibly eager to see what London's Silk Cinema delivers next.
'Golden' blends delicate grooves, sultry rhythms and silky smooth vocals, and the result is ever-so-magical. Silk Cinema have done an incredible job of creating a track that exhibits the finer elements of electro-pop, with an extra dose of funk. The track is about finding release and letting go of someone who has been a fixture in your life for a while — along with this, 'Golden' is also about moving forward and finding solace in starting fresh. The sentimentality of the lyrics resonate deeply and are words many can connect to.
