With their tour fast approaching, things are about to get crazy for Caravãna Sun. They're set to celebrate the release of their EP Silver Linings, which is due for release on 14th September. What song reminds you of your youth?
'Fairgrounds' by Simply Red
There's no song that is more reminiscent for me. This late 90s banger truly became the soundtrack for such a beautiful part of life. Where the most important part of my day was pulling pots and pans out to make a drum kit.
What song would you love to sample?
'Grandma’s Hands' by Bill Withers
This song has been sampled in the past but my god I know why. The feeling Bill producers in everything he sings is truly incredible. The kind of music that's labelled ‘Soul’ for a reason. Absolutely Moving
What song did you last listen to?
'Control' by Broken Bells
Absolutely in love with this duo project between ‘The Shins’ and ‘Danger Mouse’. Its funny how you can fall in love with an artist but when they team up with other people it brings out a completely different side. #Inlove
What song do you wish you collaborated on?
'Regulate' by Warren G & Nate Dogg
Every word of this song is etched into the back of my mind. So vivid in visuals, this song really affirms my love for storytelling and west coast hip-hop.
What song is your ultimate party track?
'Ain't Nobody' by Chaka Khan
We played a show in the UK with this incredible woman. Standing backstage, I remember doubting her and calling the bluff and the band. Nek minute, I had to pick my jaw up off the side of stage as I was truly blown away. Her presence, performance and dat voice my god! True party banger.
What song was your favorite track of last year?
'Nerve' by Jordan Rakei
An artist I’ve been in love with for years. This song is truly awesome and not to mention how good the record is. Kiwi-born artist, Jordan's living off London and absolutely breathing it through his music. Awesome!
