New Zealand is starting to become a beaming birthplace to incredible tunes, and this time it's up-and-comers Daffodils, who hail from Auckland. After supporting Pale Waves on their tour in NZ, they're ready to show the world what they've got to offer.
Their new single, 'A Leo Underwater', is a breezy track that merges influences stemming from synth-pop to indie rock. 'A Leo Underwater' is about feeling disconnected from the world around you and how the change of seasons can evoke an array of powerful emotions. The single brings to life feelings associated with summer — especially through their use of shimmering synths and warm guitars. Lyrically, the words are potent — "You spent the whole summer underwater, that's why you couldn't hear me crying".
With an EP currently on the cards for 2019, it's exciting times for Daffodils.
