Alt-pop's Violet Days late last month shared Made In My Head, which is a dreamy collection of seven enchanting songs. The EP tells the story of a romance between two characters and the highs and lows of the relationship. Learn more about the underpinnings of the release below.

So many times that I’ve gone to the cinema and came home with 20 new notes in my phone and voice memos. Sometimes we put on a movie in the studio, switch off the sound to write a song over it.  After we watched the movie “Drive” we got so inspired that we decided to write a song that could have been on the soundtrack, that’s when we wrote “Cocaine Kisses”.

Comic books
For this specific EP, one comic book changed the whole game. We found a 60s Swedish comic book and it basically told our story, so we made our own version of the characters and applied them to the story of the EP and the whole visual idea came to life in “Made In My Head”.

Going Somewhere New
I tend to get really bored if I stay at one place for a long time. I love travelling and seeing new places, meeting new people and get inspired by cultures and new environment.  That usually inspires me to write the best songs.

I like walking around town watching people trying to figure out their stories. There’s something magical and mysterious about not knowing.

I really enjoy conversations with people that dare to talk about the highs and lows in life, people that aren’t scared to talk about the darkness and worries in life. To be honest that’s usually what’s writing the best stories. When it comes from a vulnerable and real place.
