LA-based pop artist Rainsford shared her single 'Somewhere Else' late in November and it's a must-listen. The release of the single follows her EP Emotional Support Animal, which she unleashed earlier this year.
Just like sleep, Rainsford's single is reminiscent of the different stages of sleep. 'Somewhere Else' was inspired by her own experiences of dreams she was having whilst she was taking medication. The track has a whimsical aura that feels like you're in another world — this dreamlike energy connects to the story of its inception. Towards the end of the track, she murmurs the words "I've seen you in a dream" in an almost hazy tone before moving into a heavier instrumental.
Though 'Somewhere Else' is a personal release for Rainsford, it's one that will resonate with anyone who has been caught up in the bewildering world of dreams and late night thoughts.
