Irish singer-songwriter Rosie Carney recently shared 'Your Love Is Holy', which is a sneak preview of her upcoming debut album Bare, due for release on January 25 via Akira Records. Rosie takes us through what 'You Love Is Holy' means to her.
I wrote ‘Your Love Is Holy'… when I fell in love for the first time and realised just how precious it is and also just how frightening it can be.
The story behind ‘Your Love Is Holy' is… When I fell in love for the first time when I was 18, how it felt amazing yet somehow terrifying to me. It’s also about realising that not all love is meant to last, and sometimes you can end up on borrowed time.
My favourite lyric is… “Lean on me / into my chest / hear me breathe / watch me undress for you.”
It was made… to be vulnerable.
My main inspiration was… Love
It sounds best when… reflecting on a past or present love. Drinking wine and having a cry.
