After a massive SXSW last month, Brisbane’s own and one of our favourites Emerson Snowe has unleashed a beast of a single with ‘Human’. The track is set to appear on his debut EP That’s Rock ‘n’ Roll, which will be unleashed into the wild on May 10th via Liberation Records.
His brand new single is a beaming tune about overcoming the challenges life throws at you. ‘Human’ is the type of track that grabs hold of you from the beginning and holds you even when it’s come to an end.
On the track, he said, “A lot of my recent tracks were written as if I'm talking to only one person specifically. Unlike my other songs this is me talking to more than one person; it's to my parents and trying to understand the relationship I have with them and how it co-aligns with who I am. I have always been quite aware of how I always self-sabotage and I feel it is coming back into my life more recently - but now that I have more of a goal I'm starting to see and feel beautiful things. I’m glad I'm here.”
Along with the release of the single, Emerson Snowe has also shared the accompanying music video directed by Johnny McKay, capturing his sense of humour and wit.
