Last week, Joan Banoit released the ever-so-entrancing ‘Bill’, which is set to appear on upcoming debut LP Clerical, due for release on June 14th via Lazy Thinking. The track follows in the footsteps of previous tracks ‘Bet Me’ and ‘Mount Agony’.
‘Bill’ is a fine exhibition of experimental electronic pop, starring racing instrumentals that captures the heart of the track. On 'Bill', Joan Banoit said, “The song is about demanding friendships and the give and take of having close friends. We put a lot of effort into relationships and there isn’t always a return, and to have close relationships, you have to be comfortable with that. The song is written from the perspective of a person who doesn’t really understand this and is desperate for attention of people who a busy facing their own problems.”
