Detroit-based multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter Ladysse reflects on the less shiny side of Hollywood on her most recent single ‘Heartbreak Hollywood’. The release of the single marks her first for 2019.
‘Heartbreak Hollywood’ is a slice of 80s electro-pop goodness. The track is a break-up song written for the city that crushes dreams every day. Ladysse’s honest words dive into the heartbreak that comes along with being deep within that world, and how a place like Hollywood can leave you depleted and disappointed. Words that especially stand out include, “Really into selling all of your soul / They only thing they can’t afford”.
