Now Playing: MUSH – 'Litvinenko'

Monday, April 8, 2019

Leeds-based band MUSH will have you kicking your week off in style with their latest tune ‘Litvinenko’. The track is a preview of their upcoming debut EP Induction Party, which will be available on May 31st.

The track was inspired by the KGB poisonings, with the track being named after Alexander Litvinenko, who was an ex-spy who was poisoned to death. Their ability to mix riveting lyrical content into a song that can still be enjoyed and blast aloud is part of their charm and we’re obsessed. On creating, vocalist and guitarist Dan Hyndman said, “Fundamentally we identify as music fans as much as artists. I write music that I want to hear for my own enjoyment. I’ve always admired people who can create visceral and inspiring art without carrying on as some transcendent being. Having your influences on your sleeve and being open is just an extension of that.”

We love what we hear with ‘Litvinenko’ and we’re certain that the EP is going to be just as good.
