So, we may be a little late to the party when it comes to Squid's 'Houseplants', but we're pretty damn stoked we finally decided to show up. Formed in Brighton, Squid has been gaining a lot of attention in 2019 for their impressive live shows, and by the sounds of 'Houseplants', we can only imagine how incredible their shows would be.

'Houseplants' is relentless from beginning to end. Featuring elements of 70s post-punk, it's full of attitude and assertiveness from Squid. The track is about the dream of affording a house to buy and not having to live paycheck to paycheck. The lyrics are also very eye-catching, especially with words such as, "Gardens ain't a saviour, decoration ain't behaviour."

Squid continue to reaffirm their status as one of this year's most talked about bands, and we're ready for a taste of whatever they dish out next.
