With the release of their debut album Infancy fast approaching on April 26th, Glasgow’s The Ninth Wave keep the momentum going with the video for their latest single ‘Used To Be Yours’. The album will be divided into two parts, with the first being released in April and the second part on November 26th.
According to Millie Kidd of The Ninth Wave, the track “is set in the No Man’s Land that you find yourself in after a relationship ends, where you still feel like you have some sort of possession over each other.”
The video was shot in the span of a day in the Peak District. Through the video, they wanted to capture the feeling of desolation that some experience after a break-up and finding the inner strength to move away from the bleakness. The video was shot by David East and features cinematic scenes of a woman in various spaces of isolation, including in nature and in a cottage.
