Los Angeles-based alternative pop duo Moby Rich — made up of Maxwell Joseph and Connor Pledger — have recently been busy playing shows in Australia and supporting Broods. They also unveiled the video for their latest single 'Sabotage', which is set to appear on their upcoming second EP. To celebrate the release of the video and their Australian trip, they took some time out to answer some quick-fire questions for us.

Best gift you've ever received?
Connor: That’s a tough question. I honestly couldn’t pick one. and I don’t wanna hurt anyone’s feelings. haha
Maxwell: Connor gave me a pillow with Nicholas Cage’s face on it.
Best book you've read?
Connor: Sex at Dawn
Maxwell: The Stranger
Dream holiday spot?
Connor: Tokyo probably
Maxwell: A little town in Italy. Not sure which one yet.
What kind of secret society would you start?
Connor: I want to create a secret society of secret societies, it would definitely be a pyramid scheme or some sort.
Maxwell: Secret society for people who love The Office way more than they should.
Favourite dinosaur?
Connor: Petrie, from The Land Before Time
Maxwell: My dad.
When you survive the apocalypse, what will be your first job?
Connor: Carpenter for sure.
Maxwell: To shovel the ash of our fallen society into neat little piles.

Have you ever texted the wrong person?
Connor: Yes.
Maxwell: Absolutely I sent some pictures intended for my girlfriend to Connor accidentally. He liked them so it all worked out.

Connor: Both. Depends when you catch me.
Maxwell: Little of both. Definitely, appreciate and need solitude to maintain a healthy headspace.
Favourite director?
Connor: probably my Highschool choir director. or spike jones
Maxwell: Cohen Brothers or Tarantino
Three pet peeves?
Connor: People who smack when eating, and talk with their mouths full, bad drivers, people who litter
Maxwell: When people are late, long airport lines, humanity
Last dream that you can remember?
Connor: I was on a cruise ship. I could also fly a plane. It was dope
Maxwell: We met Tyler and Josh from 21 Pilots. They were not fans
Favourite hiding spot?
Connor: Pillow fort
Maxwell: My Head
What ice cream flavour would you invent?
Connor: Chocolate pretzels with dark chocolate chunks and sea salt. Maybe some cookie dough bites too. Gotta check that flavor profile first. Also, If you read this and steal my idea, I want 25%. Haha
Maxwell: Tree Bark
What planet would you move to?
Connor: I mean honestly, none. I wanna go down with the ship. But if I gotta choose. Probably Mars, realistically it’s the only one we may be able to terraform, and there are even studies that say that’s impossible. So, who knows. Maybe the Moon, but that’s not a planet.
Maxwell: Pluto
