Hackney-based duo 0171 have unveiled the final piece of their debut EP with their brand new track 'Red Light' — the complete EP, featuring previous tracks '1000 Words' and 'SMTHN RL' was also released this week. The duo has become known for their ability to reflect on human connection through their music in a way that's poignant and expressive, and 'Red Light' is yet another example of this.
'Red Light' sees the duo explore intimacy and society's need to record human experiences. On the track and video, they said, "In 'Red Light' we flipped that round to imagine a couple who are excited by the idea that the world is watching them and their love. We thought about how the act of filming experiences makes those experiences feel realer for many people these days. Everyone is a star in their videos." 0171 are able to capture the feeling of longing through their surging electronic beats and enthralling production.
