Gold Coast band Blaire has re-emerged with a blazing new single called 'Mimer'. Released via GD FRNDS, the track follows in the footsteps of previous singles 'Youth' and 'Smiling'.
'Mimer' features a shoegaze sound by the band with a heavier twist — there's also some pop influences within its deeper layers. The burning single was sparked by the death of a family member. On the track, frontman Ben Stagg said, "Mimer takes a look at the idea of distance. Whether that be a friend who lives far away, someone who’s passed, a favourite place, country, anything. It is a reflection on the fact that you can still feel whatever’s mission from you in a range of ways, and can be ‘mimed’ by something else."
