Now Playing: Pinky Pinky – 'Mr. Sunday'

Friday, May 24, 2019

In-between playing shows in Europe, your new favourite LA-based trio Pinky Pinky have shared another incredible single with their latest 'Mr. Sunday'. Their highly anticipated debut album Turkey Dinner is set for release on June 14th via Innovative Leisure, and will also feature their previous singles 'My Friend Sean' and 'Do Me Dirty (Charlie)'.

'Mr. Sunday', which is a song about betrayal, once again showcases their superb songwriting through the use of honest observations and sharp lyrics. Despite the dreaminess of the vocals and the chilled-out energy of the track, their words portray a feeling of hurt and anger — "He betrayed me but I / Can’t seem to feel what he’s done to me / I’m numb from pain ‘cause he don’t love me / Oh Mr. Sunday, he treats me bad / Oh won't you tell me how worn I am."

Until it's time for Turkey Dinner next month, listen to 'Mr. Sunday' below.
