We're thrilled to bring you 'Tides', which is the brand new single by Margate-based duo Thandii. Their enchanting new track is set to appear on upcoming EP Serious Town, which is due for release on July 5th via their label Bad Hacker.
'Tides' is a stirring exploration of guilt and the various ways people navigate their way through it. The track also pays tribute to the important work of Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg, and her efforts to combat climate change.
Thandii was also drawn to the devastating effects of the deadly California wildfires. On writing the track, they said, "Tides’ was written in a hotel room in New York. We had been watching the 24hr rolling news channels and they were reporting on the wildfires in Northern California at the time — it was pretty depressing stuff. A disaster like that can make you feel guilty about being human."
