Up-and-comer and the ever-so-talented FRITZ has unleashed her brand new single 'Jan 1'. The track follows in the footsteps of her previous single 'Ghost Poke' (which featured on our best 25 songs of 2019 mid-year list) and her signing to Break Even Recordings.
The reflective song was written on New Years Day after a rush of thoughts the night before. On the track, FRITZ said, "I’ve never liked New Year's resolutions but it was just a coincidence for me to write this on New Years Day when everyone usually makes their resolutions...I know what makes me happy and therefore I decided to do more of what makes me happy this year and so far I have succeeded. I haven’t cried as much." Not only is FRITZ's feeling of yearning captured in her words, but also in the track's frenzied instrumentals.
