The ever-so-enigmatic Lazarus Kane has this week shared their latest single 'Narcissus' via Speedy Wunderground. The track has been released digitally, but will also be available on 7" vinyl on November 1st and will be limited to 250 copies worldwide. The release of 'Narcissus' marks Speedy Wunderground's 31st 7" release and follows previous offerings by the likes of Sinead O'Brien, Squid, black midi, Kate Tempest and many others.
Spanning almost seven-and-a-half delectable minutes, 'Narcissus' is Lazarus Kane's take on the trappings of modern life — whether that's being glued to social media, binge drinking, or watching too much bad reality tv. The track also features doses of pop-funk in its finest form, and you can't help but feel lured in by its hypnotic bassline and enticing rhythm. On the track, they said, "Mr. Kane was adamant that the song be recorded in one take, not stopping until his kimono was soaked through with the sweat of pure, unbridled emotion."
