Glasgow's Walt Disco once again share a slice of magic with their latest track 'Dancing Shoes'. They've partnered up with Sports Team and their label Holm Front Records to release 'Dancing Shoes Won’t Fix My Mind' as a 7" vinyl. The release of 'Dancing Shoes' follows their other impressive singles this year, including the ever-so-grand 'Strange to Know Nothing' and the immensely stirring 'Past Tense'.
They've shared a taste of 'Dancing Shoes Won't Fix My Mind' during their live shows, but have breathed new life into the track in the newly released studio version. The mighty single was written by frontman James Potter during a tough time in his life where we needed an outlet to express how he was feeling.
On the poignant track, he said, "I wrote 'Dancing Shoes' about a year and a half ago. It was during a time in my life where I was really struggling to deal with noticing pain and depression within my immediate family and found it difficult to talk about, so I used the writing of this song as therapy. It is very sad but I feel better now it’s written and hope others can take comfort from the song too."
You can stream 'Dancing Shoes Won’t Fix My Mind' below. If you fancy hearing it on vinyl, it's now available to purchase via Rough Trade.
