It's always a good day when Willie J Healey blesses the world with new music, and this time it's with his brand new single 'Songs For Joanna'. The track is set to appear on his freshly announced EP Hello Good Morning, which will be released on November 15th via YALA! Records.
His latest EP is a follow-up to his previous release 666 Kill, which he dropped late last year. He's also announced a run of shows in the UK to celebrate the EP and his new music — though we're all the way in Australia, we were lucky enough to catch him play during SXSW this year and we guarantee that you won't want to miss him live.
'Songs For Joanna' is a coming-of-age track that channels feelings of angst, and how these feelings are heightened by love triangles, complicated romances and unrequited passions. In a statement on the song, he said, “There’s so much confusion and all these emotions. Friends and family tell you that it’s all insignificant, but you don’t know that until you’re through it. Everything will pass.”
Along with the EP in a few months, he's also working towards a new album, which will be released sometime next year.
