We're excited to today bring you 'Acid Blue', which is the latest single by Perth-based psychedelic pop artist Sefton. The up-and-comer, who has been juggling making music whilst doing year 12, will be officially releasing the single this Friday.
'Acid Blue' is a contemplative track that explores the fears and anxieties of young people navigating the ways of the world. The single sees Sefton delicately mix chilled-out and atmospheric sonics with open and expressive words.
On the track, he said, "‘Acid Blue’ is about the anxieties of fleeting Australian youth expressed in chilled-out psychedelic pop. Maybe this can be extrapolated to a general feeling of uncertainty many young people have about politics and the environment." He also notes, "The phrase ‘Acid Blue’ to me means something which is intrinsically beautiful and alluring but has connotations of something poisonous and industrial."
