Brighton-based quartet Beachtape will have you summertime dreaming with their breezy new track ‘Somewhere Better’. The release of the single comes alongside exciting news that they’re set to release their new EP Big Picture on April 10th via CRC Record.

Reminiscent of the seaside surroundings of Brighton, ‘Somewhere Better’ sees Beachtape fuse 90s grunge with the warmth of indie-rock. Their beach-rock gem explores the transitional time of early adulthood where circumstances change and perspectives shift.

The band said on the track, “It’s about change. The inevitable changes in our future, and reflecting on changes from our past. The idea of something feeling so significant in the moment, but becoming so insignificant over time and vice versa. Our lives in and outside of the band have changed a lot over the last year and we’re all in completely different places to what we may have imagined a year ago.”
