Halloweens, the project by Justin Young and Timothy Lanham of The Vaccines, earlier this month shared their brand new single ‘Divinity Pools’. The track is set to appear on their forthcoming EP Maserati Anxiety Designed, due for release on 21st August. The EP follows the release of their debut album Morning Kiss At The Acropolis earlier in 2020.
According to Young, ‘Divinity Pools’ was the last song that they wrote together before Lanham returned to Australia and has been left stranded ever since.
Young also adds on the single, “I love how superlative and extreme love can feel, even with everything else going on in the world, and I think this song is the perfect ode to how hyperbolic it should and could be. The arrangement feels really kinetic and awkward too and I think that’s really fitting for the lead track on an EP called ‘Maserati Anxiety Designed’. What we’d all do to be bathing in anything other than nostalgia right now, huh?”
