Colchester-based four-piece Anorak Patch unleashed their latest single ‘Irate’ via Nice Swan Records late last month. ‘Irate’ is an exciting preview of what the up-and-comers have in store for the rest of the year.
The track was written during the first lockdown and portrays how they were feeling as a collective during this initial period of uncertainty. The frantic-nature of ‘Irate’ perfectly captures the many ways that life as we knew it suddenly changed.
Bassist Eleanor Helliwell said, “We wanted to write something more meaningful, something about the paralysing times we are in now. However we also wanted it to convey how we have hope for the future. “no vapour trails above” shows how we were trying to stay optimistic.”
