Whenever Eliza Shaddad shares something new, you know it’s going to be something special, and she’s done it again with her mesmerising new single ‘Blossom’. Shaddad, who has Sudanese and Scottish roots, is a multi-linguist with a philosophy degree along with being an exceptional songwriter.
Released this week via Rosemundy Records/Wow and Flutter, ‘Blossom’ is a heartfelt song about renewal and hope. Her evocative words describe the beauty of spring and the changes that happen. As you listen to her soft and tender vocals, you can't help but picture every word that you hear.
The track opens with touching lyrics such as “Blossom grows on the trees where you last lay here / Constant grey giving way to the blue / And I’m going round, all day digging up the soil / Turning over leaves and searching for renewal."
