Now Playing: PACKS – ‘Silvertongue’

Monday, March 15, 2021

Toronto’s PACKS (led by Madeline Link) have this month shared their brand new single ‘Silvertongue’. The new track is the second to be unveiled from their forthcoming debut offering Take the Cake, out on May 14th via Fire Talk and Royal Mountain.

Initially Link's solo project, PACKS become a quartet after Shane Hooper (drums), Noah O’Neil (bass), and Dexter Nash (lead guitar) joined.

‘Silvertongue’ transports you back to the 90s through the addition of lo-fi guitars, true slacker-rock energy and Link’s grungy vocals.

Link’s direct and reflective lyrics address past relationships and how it’s easy to be caught in an endless loop of breaking up and getting back together. She said, “It’s easy to be lured into the comforts of past relationships. What’s harder is dealing with years of exhaustion, mistrust, and always hoping. Ditch the whiplash of manipulation and decide what YOU want out of love!”
