As we near closer to the release of CHAI’s much-anticipated new album WINK on May 21st, the Japanese four-piece has unleashed another exciting preview of what’s to come with their vibrant new track ‘Nobody Knows We Are Fun’.
The lyrics for ‘Nobody Knows We Are Fun’ came to CHAI's YUUKI after watching Booksmart, particularly inspired by the movie’s protagonists deciding to attend a party before high school graduation after coming to the realisation “Nobody knows we’re fun!”. YUUKI said, “I thought, ‘We, CHAI, can really relate to that scene.”
According to the quartet, ’Nobody Knows We Are Fun’ is “a mix of screaming our annoyances—why don’t you guys notice us!—while trying to be cute and sexy.”
